What Are The Cursive Letters In English Writing?

When we are in school we are first taught to write by printing, and also to read printing.  My grandson only knows how to print, and I didn't realize that until he told me he couldn't understand my cursive writing.  Cursive is what we are taught later, probably around 5th grade...I'm not sure about that.  But it's just a different form of writing.  It is the form we are used to reading and writing as adults. Curvy and with all letters connected in a word.
