    How Do I Make Landlord Fix Hot Water Heater That's Been Broken For 4 Weeks?

    We moved into an apartment complex around November of last year. 4 weeks ago the hot water heater stopped working. It was hooked onto the electricity of the downstairs attendants and when they moved out and the power was cut off there went our hot water. We have asked repeatedly for the landlord to fix this but she still hasn't. It's been 4 weeks. What can I do?

    This is not acceptable and a landlord who does not provide household necessities like that cannot be removed of their licence. Call the Landlord and Tenant Board that serves your city or state. Report it and explain the situation in full. They will tell you your rights and take necessary steps to have the landlord rectify the situation before it becomes a legal matter.
