I have basic knowledge of electricity and I have installed a new garbage disposal. I had to run and outlet for it and I need to have an on/off switch in line. Could someone walk me through it?

Object to be turned on or off.
Three wires (correct gauge) from it to
switch. Black (Hot)White(neutral) ground
copper.
Switch (has a three wire from power source there)
On Switch
Twist white wires together (with electrical twist correct size) 3 pole switch, put gounds together (copper) on bottom screw of 3 pole switch.
Hot wire Usually black already there on top screw. Black wire from object Usually
Hot to bottom screw. Turn object off and on. Be careful if not sure use meter to treat politary of wires.
