Books can't teach you to write but they can provide you with stimulation, inspiration and support, so why not get a couple of the following to help you out:

Julia Cameron, author of The Artist's Way, wrote The Right Write, a kind of Artist's way for Writers.

If you are stuck for a plot, Sawyer and Weingarten wrote a book called Plots Unlimited, which allows you to assemble together different plot points into one.

Dr Victoria Schmidt has written the story structure architect, a great book on how stories are constructed, with many examples from popular movies.

Rabiger has written the book Developing Story Ideas, for those struggling with the basics of story construction.

Aristotle in Hollywood is Ari Hiltunen's take on how Aristotle's principles can help you write screenplays.

Developing Characters for Script Writing is a great book from Rib Davis and does what it says on the tin.
