Well there is no definite answer to this question as it depends on many factors, like country of interest, ones academic level etc.

Generally, there is a good job market for chemical engineers (considering one to be at least a bachelor in it) especially in the Middle East. Chemical engineers find good jobs in the field of petroleum industry; the reason should be obvious. As the world's supply of petroleum is exhausting, countries need to find alternative energy resources and fast. The job of chemical engineer thus becomes that of optimizing the current consumption of petroleum and looking for ways to lessen our dependence on petroleum by looking for alternative energy sources.

Apart from this there are also other job opportunities for a chemical engineer, like in a chemical industries and pharmaceutical companies. There a chemical engineer is required to optimize the industry work flow. This means that a chemical engineer must find ways to increase the output of the industry but at the same time minimize the cost to the industry.

I hope this answers your question. I would like to add a tip from my own experience, a combo of Chemical Engineering, B.E. (Bachelors in Engineering) or MSc (Masters in Science), and MBA (Masters in Business Administration) has good value in the market.
