Teenagers have an aversion to religion in our times because we are living in times where it is hard to convince the young ones of the superstitious fairy tales that our antecedents have believed in. Since the foundation of all ethics and morality typically observed or considered constructive to maintain the cohesion of the fabric of society is based on religion this may at times even lead to delinquent or deviant behavior as people simply do not seem to believe in God anymore. Also, there's a lot that teenagers are exposed to these days, in books, the internet or television which is simply not effective or adequate enough to promote a belief in a God.
