Are There Any Legitimate Home Based Businesses Out There That Are Really Free To Start?

Anything that you can do yourself can be free.  Examine your strengths and abilities.  You yourself, not what others think, but you look at your attributes.  Make a list and then do.  Stop thinking, and just start doing.  Find a need and fill it.  Follow your passion and the money will follow.
If you are an artist, painter, then consider that.  You might consider a different medium perhaps, like painting authentic designs on oak leaves and framing them, or maybe birdhouses.(Just suggestions)  Let your imagination guide you, and write everything down. You can't tell yourself negative things are you will belong to the masses of those who work for others.  If you want to work for yourself, then you must think for yourself.

You will have expenses, even if you decide to set up a home-based business, but your overhead costs will be far lower than if you rented a commercial space. For example, if you establish a child day care service, a bed & breakfast, a physical therapy clinic or pet care, you will have to purchase liability insurance and get permits. In other cases, you may need to convert a space in your home into an office, and you will have to buy equipment. Additionally, you may want to seek the help of an accountant or bookkeeper once a year, when it is time to pay taxes.
