What Is A Produce Clerk?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A produce clerk is generally the person who is in charge of the produce goods and the produce sections in places like big supermarkets, big retail businesses, warehouses etc. His job is to assist customers in handling their purchases and stocking as well as blocking the produce department. He generally would have to report to the produce manager.

A produce clerk would have to perform certain functions like allocating all the goods and services to their respective places and prepare the goods for display. Ensuring the quality of goods is also the work of a produce manager. Maintaining good customer relations is also a part of a produce clerk's job. Thus a produce clerk has to look after several things and co ordinate it with the other departments to ensure the smooth working of the overall organisation.
