    Chloroplasts are basically a kind of organelles which are mostly found in organisms which conduct photosynthesis. These include plant cells and Eukaryotic cells. Chloroplasts absorb the light of the sun and use it with water and carbon dioxide to produce sugar.

    The two main functions of Chloroplasts include:

    - To assist in the process of photosynthesis, through which food for the plant is prepared.

    - Is responsible for the genetic makeup and green color of the plant.
