What This Means 3(-4b)-2(a-b-c)?

Answer Question

    I'm just guessing but it could be an equation

    3 x -4b  =  -12b
    2 (a-b-c)  = 2a-2b-2c
    therefore    =       -12b - 2a- 2b- 2c    =     -14b -2a-2c
    (sorry if this result is wrong, its been a long time since I did algebra)

      Almost correct above but when you multiply two negatives the number becomes positive so the 14b should be -10b, everything else seems ok.
      -12b minus 2a + 2b + 2c=negative 10b-2a+2c.
