Well I took my family of four of varying ages to a place I would have never considered before. I discovered an affordable family getaway at Broken Bow Lake Oklahoma from a friend that goes scuba diving there several weekends out of the year. It's actually quite affordable and beautiful all year long. And there is so much to do. There are a lot of water sports, nature hikes, kayaking and the views are amazing. There isn't anything pretentious it's just awesome fun. I learned how to fish and kayak and honestly there just wasn't enough time to do everything. We even brought my mother- in-law that loves bingo and gambling and we had a place to drop her off : )
