Why Is Statistics Important In Physical Therapy?

Answer Question

I would guess it is important because they need to know if the outcome of the therapy process had a good end result.  This will then let the therapist know if the method they are using needs improvement and allow other treatment options.

Statistics are used in physical therapy as part of your treatment. For example, they will look at the percentage of other patients who have had your condition, and look at the their treatments. If a high percentage was more successful with a particular treatment, then they will be more likely to prescribe it for you. In addition, they may use statistics and percentages to measure your progress during physical therapy. Other times, it is solely for medical research.
