How Long After Taking An Antibiotic Can You Be Clear From Getting C-diff?

I had c-diff two and a half years ago after taking a couple different antibiotics and a hospital stay. I recently needed to take an antibiotic and I'm wondering how long I need to be on edge about getting c-diff.

It is not necessary that every time you take antibiotics and get C. Diff. These bacteria are already present in our gut and become pathogen due to long term use of antibiotic. So, you have not mentioned that for which indication you want to use antibiotics. Usually, antibiotics are taken for 5-7 days and this is a period which does not lead to c.diff infection in majority of cases. Your doctor will guide you in better way.
