    Mount Qafzeh is sited in Israel. The country of Israel is found in Western Asian Levant. This place is in the Mediterranean Sea. Lebanon skirts Israel in the north, Egypt in the southwest and Syria and Jordan in southwest. Israel is positioned in the southwestern Asia. This region overlaps the Middle east.

    Near the Qafzeh Mount are found the Skhul Caves and Qafzeh Caves. The caves are formed of twenty-four layers of rocks. Some of the rocks are: the limestones, breccias and the stalagmites. In the archaeological excavations of 1933 and 1977 eleven remains of different persons were found. Remains of horses, oxen and rhinoceros were alos found. The Tabun and Kebara Caves are also situated near Mount Qafzeh. These caves too unveiled human remains of Neanderthal times. It is now concluded that modern man existed here 100,000 years back and then traveled and scattered to the rest of the world.
