Of course, you have to pay rent. Not paying rent will result in a civil suit and possible garnishment of wages, seizure of property , and definitely destruction of your credit. The landlord has expenditures whether you pay your rent or not so morally you must consider the implication of living in someone else's property and not paying.

Not paying is what got you in the situation you are in. Of course you should pay if you are able to. If you don't further court action may be taken against you.
