Well, severe droughts always take place in Africa because most of the mass of land in Africa are deserts and there isn't a lot of land to grow crops. This is also why most African children suffer from malnutrition because there aren't a lot of food sources in Africa.

Australia is a huge sufferer of droughts also but developing knowledge in dryland farming is helping farmers to manage their properties more effectively for the dry conditions.
