DBA stands for Data Base Administrator. His main responsibility is to make, manage and maintain all databases. He is the person who always checks the performance of the database system; like he checks ongoing tuning of the database. DBA also plans and implements backup and recovery of database. DBA also enforces security for all of the databases. If the company needs to re-organize its database then DBA is the person who carries out this task. In short it provides all sort of technical database sport to application development team and end users.
