Who Was The High School Baseball Player Of The Year 2006 In America?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Adrian Cardenas was the high school baseball player of the year in America in 2006. He spent his summer and winters in practicing, exercising, lifting weights and fielding ground balls like others players of his team. His ranking was 100 when he entered in the season tournament. His position in his team was not even considered as one of the best players.

But after playing in a tournament he created lots of new records for himself and for his team and led his team to the state championship. Cardenas broke the record of Duffin's school for batting average, hitting  647. He set a new record of county home runs with 18. His performance was 65 runs, 52 hits, 18 doubles, and 3 triples and stole 14 bases.

Cardenas achieved this status through a lot of hard work.   His outlook was very different than other players of his age. His father was a physical therapist and mother was nurse and had no interest in baseball at all.  The media loved him because of his competitiveness and high-profile. His parents had no idea about baseball.
