When Was Huddersfield Town Football Club Founded?

    Huddersfield Town Football Club was founded in 1908 as Huddersfield Town AFC following a £500 investment which built the ground of Leeds Road.

    The club were accepted into the Football League in 1910 into their Division Two. After financial troubles which saw the club fall apart, the club was reformed in 1919 and had an incredibly successful few years including winning the FA cup in 1922 and being crowned Champions of Division One for three years in a row in 1924, 1925 and 1926. This was under the guidance of their manager Herbert Chapman.

    Huddersfield Town play their home games at the ground of the Galpharm Stadium based in Kirklees, Huddersfield. The stadium has a capacity for approximately 24,500 and is also used as a concert venue for acts such as Elton John, REM and Bryan Adams.

    Huddersfield Town currently reside in the League One division and finished in a respectable 4th position in the 2005/06 season.
