Birth control pills often effect the periods of the females. They can result in irregular periods or less or more quantity of periods. However, if your spotting is pinkish brown in color it could be Implantation bleeding which means you have just conceived. But in order to be sure, take a home pregnancy test first. It is simple and easy and often has correct results.

One of the downsides of contraceptive injections are that they can cause irregular bleeding. Some women get no period at all while on it, others can spot or bleed for the entire 12 weeks the shot lasts. If you find you're in the latter you may want to consider switching to the pill. But i i suggest you stick with it for at least three months as it can take a while for your body to adjust
