True, he was influenced by many of his inner circle but regardless of their spurring, he would have done it all anyway. Hitler's troops' unprovoked invasion of Poland finally brought Allied nations into the picture and the war officially began. Having said all that, knowing that Hitler started the war, he was both directly and indirectly responsible for all military and civilian deaths caused by it.
