Well traditionally the answer to this question is left at the feet of Helen of Troy, she whose face launched a thousand ships (as Marlowe wrote).

She was the daughter of Zeus (thus having some inhuman beauty) and the wife of Menelaus, King of Sparta.

When the time came for Helen to marry, her suitors were plentiful, including many of those who would help Menelaus in his quest to return Helen and sack Troy.

Paris, a prince of troy came to Sparta to marry Helen after being promised he could by the Goddess Aphrodite. Since this story is firmly based in myth, it is not entirely set in stone as to whether Helen was seduced or taken by force.

After the large invasion force sacked Troy and 'rescued' or 'returned' Helen to Menelaus, she returned home and lived with Menelaus.

Helen appears in several movies, most notably Troy and the television movie Helen of Troy. The choice of actress is always very interesting for this, how do you cast a face such as Helen's?
