Shih-tuz, Her Left Eye And Socket Looks To Have Come Out Of Her Head, What Could Have Caused This? And What Is The Best Course Of Action?

We just got back from Tenn. Having to attend meetings all last week! I had some one looking after our dogs while we were gone. When we returned last night, I found her with her eye and socket out in front of her eye lid. Tried washing it with a eye solution and checking for any hair, that may be holding it out like it was. Is there anything I can do?
