    To be honest outside plants that aren't aquarium plants will decay and mold eventually making a mess in your tank. s222.photobucket.com

      I don't know.  I would imagine it might grow algae eventually.  I would call your local green house and ask them what they think, or a pet store even that sells fish.  They probably know.  You may even have a neighbor or friend who knows about this stuff or has a green thumb that can tell you.  Good luck, I hope you find your answer here though, if not, I would call your local green house that sells plants, etc.
