I Am In Love With A Women, I Have Not Dated In 15 Teen Years, What To Do?

Answer Question

You are in love with the idea of being in love with her.  The person you knew 15 years ago no longer exists.  She has grown in intelligence, grown in maturity, grown in her love of the beautiful things of the world.  You, it would seem, are still stuck in the past.  I would assume that she has moved on with her life and may, in fact, be involved with someone else or even have a family with someone else.  Do you know if that is true?  If she is not free, leave the woman alone.  Don't screw up her life by showing up out of the blue.  If, however,  you are positive that she is not involved with someone else at this time, then contact her and see how she feels about re-newing your friendship.  But, don't for heaven's sake, call up and declare your love for her.  That would scare the beejeebers out of her.  Depending on how things ended with the 2 of you, be prepared to be rejected.  The girl you dated is long gone in more ways than one.  Epect things to be different if she does agree to see you.  Treat this as a new relationship, it is.  Good Luck, Romeo!  If this does not work out for you, please, move on with your life.  You deserve a loving relationship in real time - not the past.  She is out there waiting, you must find her.
