Mirza Ghalib's one volume "Meh-e-NeemRoz", which Ghalib completed is an indifferent work, while the second volume was never got completed because of the great disturbances cuased by the Revolt of 1857. The Consequent termination of the Moghul Rule was occured. Ghalib wrote alot for the Moghul Kings but lost interest in the later Kings.
His 1857 Diary, "Dast-Ambooh" which is a anti-British document, it has all the criticizing their harsh rule, it was very expressive though. His letters are the most graphical picture of the British violence. Dast-Ambooh was always meant to be made public not only to the Indian Press but also to the British government.
