Monocots and Dicots are two main groups of flowering plants. The distinction between these two groups is quiet fuzzy. And varies from plant to plant. Infact some monocots have characteristics of a dicot and vice versa. Such as Dioscoreales and Smilacaceae have broad reticulate leaves which are a feature of Dicots. So we can not point out any specific similarity between the two groups.
