Can I Play Powerball Outside Of The US?

            Powerball can not be played outside of the US for the following reasons.

             Firstly, the Powerball lotto is state run, and the laws state that it is illegal to even play outside of the state. This is because certain states declare gambling illegal and so Powerball can not flout these laws. Any ticket must be bought by a licensed vendor and so a ticket can not be purchased outside of the US. This includes over the internet.

             Although the internet opens up lots of possibilities, the same restrictions apply. The computer must be part of the state that is allowing the sale of the Powerball lotto tickets and so can not retail to people outside of the US.  Some states allow visitors to the state to purchase a Powerball ticket to take with them, but others will only pay out to those who can prove citizenship with an address in that specific state. It is best to familiarise yourself with the state's rules and regulations before selecting this option to avoid disappointment.
