There are many types of mange but humans can get only sarcoptic mange which is also called scabies. These are mites which live in skin by making burrows. This infestation causes sever itching especially during night. Scabies are contagious and transferred from infected person to healthy by physical contact. Sharing contaminated beds and clothes can also spread scabies in humans. Treatment is by use of insecticides.
