Who Made Bus?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

That depends on your definition, because the omnibus is just a development of the coach, and there were many horse-drawn vehicles of this type in the 19th century. However, I'd go for Andrew Smith Hallidie of San Francisco, who on 1 August 1873, introduced the cable car to spare horses the very difficult task of hauling omnibuses up those steep streets we all remember from Bullit.
