Make sure the car is in a legal parking place and the wheels are close to the kerb without touching and straight. If in a parking bay make sure you are parked within the bay with equal spaces each side. Make sure the hand brake is on. If you are on a hill leave the car in gear. If you are on a highway park the way of the traffic.
