    How Long Does It Take To Become A Veterinarian For Small Animals Like Dogs And Cats, And Also For Horses?

    My lifelong career goal has been to become a veterinarian. I am extremely close to horses, so I definitely am interesting in become an equine vet. But also, I would like to learn the dog and cat area of the profession too. How many years would it take?

    Most vets have a broad training so they can treat all kinds of animals, and then specialize later. To be a fully qualified practitioner can take 4 years on top of regular college study, but there are various jobs requiring less. You can find out more here.
