How Can I Sell My Birds/finches In America Without Selling Them To Someone Who Will Feed Them To Pet Snakes And Other Critters?
We so enjoy the songs and activities of our finches, however, we can't prevent them from reproducing new sweet finches. Now have 28 counting the very tiny baby white finches. We want them to be appreciated and not be fodder for reptiles. We live in Oregon, USA

I live in Michigan and i have 2 white zebra finches and there 4 babies
if u lived closer i would gladly take them but i wouldn't set them free since they are pretty much domesticated and may die out in the wild.
Try going to high/good quality pet stores and sell them or get 2 big cages and spilt the males and females up and keep them ! :-D

Why not set them free? It breaks my heart to see pretty birds in cages, it's not fair. Wait for the better weather and set them free. Let them enjoy their gift of flight. Finches can easily survive in your area.

I so want to let them go, as you have suggested. We started with 2 and now have 29 and I don't want to part with any of them because they are so wonderful and so intelligent and have close relationships...friends, partners. Their cages are big and don't have 'bought stuff' but tree branches, leaves, grass, milllet stems, along with yarn, cotton, and more, to build their desired nests with.......I just put in the small tree branches as a base for their nests and it is informational and wonderful to watch them build their nests with great teamwork. I WILL CHECK WITH OTHERS HERE TO FIND OUT IF THEY CAN LIVE SUCCESSFULLY where there are so money cats and crows and who knows what else that can damage them. So far, we have given, not sold, a couple with cages, food and their special names: Bogey and Bacall, Mars and Stars, Pinto and Stripes, Bill and Hill, Crest (she has a feathery crest on her head). I just don't want anything to hurt them anywhere. Thanks again.

Aren't they pretty. Our striped zebra decided to chose a pinto-color female so their offspring are one or the other. As suggested, we have already contacted the stores but they don't accept from individuals, just their bird-breeders. We are considering dividing the males and females in our big cages, if the males aren't too aggressive toward each other. AS IN OUR HUMAN POPULATION, MALES SEEM TO BE TOO AGGRESSIVE............
