What Is The Area Of A Circle Whose Radius Is 9 Inches. Use Pi = 3.14?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The formula for finding the area of a circle is Pi times the square of the radius

You question says that the radius = 9" & that Pi = 3.14

    So, 9 * 9 * 3.14 = 254.34 square inches

    Hope this helps

You probably know this, but I'll add this tidbit.  If you were given the diameter, then in order to find the radius you would have to divide the diameter by 2.
