There has been a lot of publicity over big dogs and their victims. Unfortunately it seems to be because big dogs can obviously cause more damage and they are easier to fear. However, that does not mean that small dogs are less ferocious. There can be some really aggressive little dogs around and many are left to roam free. Many little dogs seem to have big attitudes and people such as postmen, quickly learn that their bite is just as bad as their bark. However, when a small dog bites somebody, it is generally around the ankles because that is where they can reach the easiest. Many people think that it is more humorous getting bitten around the ankles than it is to be bitten on the stomach for example.
So, the problem is not big dogs it is a variety of dogs both large and small that cause problems. It is more people's reactions to them that let smaller dogs get away with how they act.
