    The general gas constant represented by R is equal to
     0.0821 dm3 atm k-1 mol-1
    As atm=760mm of Hg
    So
    R=0.0821*760 mm of Hg dm3 k-1 mol-1
    R=62.4dm3 mm of Hg k-1 mol-1
    As 1 mm of Hg=1 torr
    So
    R=62.4 dm3  torr K-1 mol-1
    As 1dm3=1000cm3
    So we have
    R=62400 cm3  torr k-1 mol-1
