How Often Is To Often To Cry?
Sometime i cry for hours on end a few days a week and can't stop until i calm myself down gradually or pass out from exhuastion. I was just wondering if i'm not the only person who does this or if something's wrong with me. P.s. Most of the time i cry it starts out for no reason and then i continue because i think of something that upsets me more but even those are mostly mundane.

Perhaps you are suffering from depression. There are always reasons why a person cries; maybe sadness from a life event, feelings of lonliness, feelings of helplessness. Why don't you try talking to a family member, a close friend, a pastor, a teacher, a doctor or a trained counselor? With some help, you should be able to find out the cause of the crying attacks. Make an appointment with one or more of these people right away. By taking that first step, you are on your way to getting to the bottom of these crying spells. Good luck to you.

This is getting creepy, Kid. Read my response. I was still typing when you posted.
I don't think there's any criteria for how often is too often to cry. I'd think it would be more relevant to know what brings on your crying jags. I can tell you that for myself, crying releases tension and stress. It's exhausting, but I feel better afterwards.
Crying for no reason can be one symptom of depression. I'm referring to clinical depression, not just feeling down because something made you sad or upset. Clinical depression is a result of a chemical imbalance in the brain, and it can happen to anyone. If you tell your doctor, he can send you for a simple blood test that can measure the chemicals (particularly seratonin). A combination of medication and counseling can help a lot, In any case, I would talk to my doctor. He'd probably have some ideas. I wish you well.

I agree with this also your period could be to blame.
Sometimes people need a good cry. It can be a stress reliever as robbier44 says.
Of course I don't know you and can only go by your brief statement, but what you are describing sounds like something more serious, such as depression. While Blurtit is a good place to ask and answer questions, most people here are not qualified to give definitive answers about complex problems. So, while I may think what you are describing sounds like depression, you should get a professional opinion.
Start with a visit to the doctor, if possible. According to your bio, you are 16. Please be very careful about any medication for depression as some are more harmful than helpful for people your age. If you do see a doctor about this, I am sure he would know about the possible side-effects of anti-depressants, but you should be aware of them, too. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Your doctor may be able to refer you to a counselor.
Sometimes just talking about your feelings can help. There may be low-cost counseling centers in your area also.
You ask if something is "wrong" with you. I hope you don't look at this as something to be ashamed of. In the past, depression and other forms of mental illness were thought of that way. I am glad you asked your question and hope that you can get the help you need to feel better.

Tears are precious my dear friend. Do not waste them for unnecessary things. People who are coward or who are not ready face things cry. Be brave my dear friend.
