Then, ensuring that you have a Pokemon with the Fly ability, go to Route 8 and stand before the door to the Underground Path. Save the game here. Walk down one step of the path, and hit 'start,' which should produce the menu before you are seen by the Gambler. Fly to Cerulean City ~ the Gambler will see you before you fly, disabling the Start button ~ go north across Nugget Bridge and head East until you find the Youngster. Let him notice and walk up to you, then defeat his Slowpoke and fly to Lavender Town. Here, head west to Route 8, where your menu will automatically pop up as you enter the narrow path. Exit using B, and immediately Mew should appear, at Level Seven, and ready to be caught.
