President Harding went on a nationwide speaking tour to rebuild the nations confidence in his administration after he learned that some of his friends were using their offices for their own enrichment. While on the tour he died and President Coolidge took over.President Coolidge's political philosophy was that when people ask the government to solve all their problems, they are bartering away their freedom.
