    Jener basically is a township located in the Somerset County, Pennsylvania, based in United States of America. According to the census conducted in the year 2000 the total population of this region was said to be 4,054.

    Jenner is a section of Johnstown, Pennysylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area. The census report of 2000 also stated that the total area of this region was 168.6 square kilometres out of which 1.3 square kilometres was covered by water. The average population density of this region was said to be 24.2 per square kilometre. Initial colonization in this region was started in the year 1790, and the town got its name after Dr. Edward Jenner, who was the founder of the smallpox vaccine. The township was initially colonized by German and English speakers.
