This is a common problem with classic Saab 900s, especially the coupe with its large heavy doors. Fortunately, there is a simple solution. Get the screwdriver out of the Saab toolkit in the boot (trunk if you are American).
Take the screwdriver to the offending door. At this point, there is a disclaimer. The following will get your door shut but could in some instances snap off the spring door stop at the same time. It's your call.
Anyway, what you do is place the end of the screwdriver under the metal bar at the top hinge just in front of the spring that's between the door pillar and the inside edge of the door. While levering upwards slightly, gently pull the door in towards the car. This allows the door to pass over the worn part of the door stop.
With a bit luck there will be no nasty pinging noise as the spring gives up. If it does break, it's no great loss. It just means the door won't jam again.
