    Ear mites are contagious parasites and can live in ear canal of the dog. Hair loss on the ear of dog is not direct effect of ear mites. It can be due to scratching. Symptoms of ear mites in dogs are
    1. Head shaking
    2. Ear scratching
    3. Ear bleeding
    4. Black ear discharge
    5. Earwax
    Hair loss on the ears in dogs can be due to allergies, bacterial infections, scabies, ringworm and some diseases.

    Ear mites in dogs can be treated with insecticides. Hair loss on ears is treated according to underlying cause. You should take your dog to vet.
