How Do I Treat Ant Bites On A Dog?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

It depends upon the signs your dog is exhibiting.  If your dog is having localized swelling you can try Benadryl at a dose of 1 milligram per pound of body weight give by mouth every 12 hours.  Do not use the Cold and Sinus variety.
Prevent your dog from self-traumatizing the site of the bite.  Your dog may need an Elizabethan Collar.  If your dog self-traumatizes excessively it may become infected and need anti-biotics.
If your dog is experiencing pain have him seen by a veterinarian.
