Is The Legislative Process Really Democratic? Why?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

In the legislative process, democracy is practiced. This is because all the members of the chambers are selected by the people by voting. Other than the members of the congress are also elected by the people, hence confirming that there is democracy.

Even after the members of the chambers have been elected, majority rule is practiced while taking any decisions by debating on an issue and then voting before passing any bill. If the bill doesn’t get a majority vote, it wont be passed.
