There is an English town called Yeadon which is in the City of Leeds metropolitan borough which is in West Yorkshire in the United Kingdom. There is also a borough called Yeadon which is located in Delaware County, in Pennsylvania, in the United States of America.
The English town is traditionally an element of the West Riding of Yorkshire. The Leeds Bradford International Airport can be found here. In the 19th century this town was primarily a clothing and mill town which held annual cattle fair. Yeadonis home to one of the world's oldest fish and chips shops, which were established in the 1860's. It can be found on a cobbled hill called The Steep on the western edge of the high street.
The Borough of Yeadon in the U.S gets its name from Yeadon Manor, which is the estate of William Bullock. Bullock had used the name of his home city Yeadon which is the original one in Yorkshire. The population of was 11,762 people according to the 2000 census.
