To Date, How Many International Caps Has Former Arsenal Captain Patrick Veira Won For France?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Despite being born in the African nation of Senegal, Patrick Veira went on to play international football for France after his parents moved him to the French capital when he was just eight years old.

He made his debut for the French national team in nineteen ninety seven, and to date (start of the two thousand and six, seven season), he has made one hundred and one appearances for the French national team, scoring six goals in the process.

After joining fellow Frenchmen, Thierry Henry and Emmanual Petit at English club in the mid nineties, Viera broke in to the club and international scene almost at the same time.

By the time the nineteen ninety eight world cup came around, a tournament hosted by the French, Veira was a valued member of the French squad.

Part of the team that defeated Brazil in the final, Veira collected a world cup winners medal to go with the league and FA cup double winners medals he had collected for Arsenal.
