How Do You Report Welfare Fraud?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Welfare fraud refers to fraud done by people to attain benefits from welfare funds such as child care, unreported earnings, general relief and other kinds of such cases. Welfare fraud is a serious crime and should be reported if you have been duped by someone. These people take money from you which you actually deserve it, which means they receive what you should be receiving. You can report your local police station about it. The police will take severe action against the people responsible for this and will make them present in the court of law. You can also consult an attorney in such situations. Penalties or punishments include prison term, community service, reimbursement of the money stolen and a hefty fine.
