Writer's Digest is an American publication which was established in 1920. It is useful to both published and unpublished writers and offers tips and much much. There is an annual print magazine and also an annual digest, Writer's Market. The 'Writer's Market' guide is similar to the Writers' and Artists' Yearbook, and contains listings of publishers, and also interviews with best-selling authors.

Writer's Digest also holds a few competitions, one of the being the International Self-published book awards. Authors must pay a fee to enter the competition, but large cash prizes are given to both the winner and runners-up.

The website offers a free issue to visitors, and if visitors like the free issue, then they can subscribe to further issues. There is also a Writer's Digest bookstore on the website and some online workshops.
