I didn't know they had put her on any life support. It all happened so quick. She is one of the few artist I truly enjoyed of broadway. She comes from such a beloved family of the arts. She will sadly missed.

I didn't know who she was, but I am saddened by it. It reminded me of Sony Bono, he died the same way. Sad to see that this happens to people, not just the famous ones.

Sonny Bono skied into a tree. He was a good skier, making one last run and was too tired to be doing so. This is a common mistake. Natasha Richardson was just learning. One of the entertainment magazines showed a photo of where she fell. It was a slight slow slope on the run down to the lift. She tumbled. And according to her instructor rolled in the snow. No one knows what really happened. But there is no good medical facility close enough, nor medicopter.

From the latest reports it appears to some experts that she was not properly treated and could have lived if treated according to common head injury guidelines. I think some doctors have some questions to answer. Four hours went by from the resort until the second hospital. A normal helicopter ride to a major trauma center might have saved her. Quebec does not have medical helicopter service. This kind of service is common in the United States.

An absolute tragedy. I heard the response was late. She was so young.

One of the things you learn when you go to war is how to deal with death. It's a necessity for survival. Whether it be a famous actress, an NFL football player on a fishing trip, or the 4 teenagers that were sitting at a stop light and rammed by a drunken driver and killed instantly that happened here this past week, it is what it is. And you must accept it because nothing can change it. In her case, from what I witnessed on the news, she suffered irreversible brain damage. Which means your breathing is controlled by a machine. Your heartbeat is electronically stimulated. That is no way to live - it is not living by any definition I know of. It was time to go.
