In The Islam Faith Is It Possible To Go To Heaven, Even If You Never Went To Mosque?

According to the Islamic faith, it is possible to go to heaven even if one never stepped foot in a mosque. Children, for example, enjoy salvation according to Muslim teaching, even if they are not of the Islamic faith. It is important to note that Muslims, unlike Christians, do not believe in the concept of original sin. Rather, people are born with a tabula rasa and are accountable only for the deeds committed during the course of their own life.

Salvation ultimately rests on two pillars: faith in Allah and good works. One must also believe that Muhammad was sent as a messenger of Allah. Those who have not had faith, or Muslims who have not led exemplary lives can still be saved, as long as they seek Allah's forgiveness. Nevertheless, those who refuse to accept the tenets of the Muslim faith are not saved and, similarly to Christian teaching, are sent to hell, or "Jahannum."
